Our Island in the Sun

Our Home

Setting up our home in Fiji has been somewhat of an effort. Although now we are receiving the benefits of our hard work.

The first two are of the house before we moved in. Very open however, a little lacking in security measures.

This is where our friends became involved. Making security bars in our garage to the highest of OHS standards.

Weekends in the Sun

Our weekends mainly consist of trying to get out of Suva and finding the sun. Here is us doing it tough on our weekends.

These are at a place called Volivoli which is near Rakiraki. Great names.

This is our other tough weekend away so far at the 'world famous' throughout the backpacker world, Beachcomber Island. And this is what you do on the island.

Arrive

Sunbake

Leave

And yes, we are getting quite good at the scenic shot over our shoulders while we hold the camera shot.

In the Beginning

I guess we will start at the start. Whilst we weren't in Fiji at this time, we had both finished up our respectives works and were enjoying an early retirement. I'm not planning on saying much on this page but more using it as an opportunity to add photos, and post funny bits as they pop up along the way. Although Bella may have something to say about this.

We are now in Fiji at this stage and these photos are from our first week in country. Like all good o-weeks there is food, a bit of sport, some lying around a pool and a toga party of sorts. Well at least a man in a sulu.

That is me wrapping up a Red Emporer in a coconut frond to put into the lovo. Very tasty.

The height in this line-out is ridiculous.

Fiji is also known as the land of the endless pools. Just walk into your nearest resort
and you appear like a tourist. Here's Bella's attempt for a sunglasses commercial
And the photo you've all been waiting for, my new work outfit.
